Update for the Aggacara Hostel

This is the update for the earlier poster. now our focus is to find the sponsors for the building and land. We have breakdown to smaller cost people can choose to sponsor a bedroom or toilet etc.

Fund raising from Aug 1 to Sep 30 2018

The purpose of charity is to learn and to practise Metta. Besides thinking and saying sabbe satta bhavantu sukhitatta, we can be physically engaged on project to provide education. 

To us, I think it will be meaningful. 

We stayed in meditation centres. It occurred to us only few handful of people would come to meditate. of course, there were many food donations.   so we are thinking if we can practise metta meditation to ourselves and to others, it will really fulfill our paramis. That is why we are interested to do charity and outreach programme to children and youths to build a good heart and helpful attitude to others.

We offer stationery to 30 school children from the neighbourhood on 24th June 2018.

These stationeries are donated by Malaysian devotees.

Gofundme

The purpose of this fund-raising at http://www.gofundme.com/aggacara is to raise enough fund for a three-storey education building.

This building will provide free education and free nurishment for local children from the village and free accommodation for local staying nuns and volunteer teachers.
We have enough fund for the first storey which will function as dining hall and other activities. Currently is not enough fund for the second and third storey which will be the computer room, classrooms and library.
